2013 Schwinn 4 One One 1 Best Bike Review

2013 Schwinn 4 One One 1 Best Bike Review – review by admin on ★★★★☆ 4.5

Schwinn are the great American bike brand. Schwinn 4 One One 1 an unusual looking machine US$600. The Schwinn has a relatively tall head tube, a few centimetres of spacers and a raised bar. Kenda’s 40mm Komfort tyres are very comfortable and they cope with kerbs, poor roads and potholes with aplomb. Rim life should be very good too, thanks to the cable disc brakes. The Schwinn is big on comfort, and fine for those who prefer plushness to performance. But if your regular rides are hilly, you need to transport it by car or carry it upstairs, its weight isn’t in its favour.

Comments about schwinn 4 One One 1:
Bought this for myself a few months back, looking for a good year-round, all-around ride. After checking lots of different bikes, I went with this one. I happen to love this frame design, very unique. The bike rides surprisingly smooth for aluminum, and it handles very predictably. Easily maneuverable in Chicago traffic. SA hub needed a little adjustment, but now works great (and I happen to like the ‘tick’tick tick’ sound it makes). The disc brakes, while a bit noisy, work extremely well, far better than rim brakes, especially in inclement weather. On mine (which is, admittedly, a 2012 model), I was surprised to see Schrader valves poking through the rim! I don’t mind em, and it’s nice in case you need to top off at a gas station and don’t have a presta adapter on you. I had a plan in mind when I bought the bike, and since my purchase I have added SKS fenders (this bike looks mean with black fenders), a set of Oval Concepts drop bars with Cane Creek aero levers and cross-levers, a Fizik Nisene saddle, and removed the chain tensioner (wasn’t needed, and was terribly noisy). It’s now a perfect (for me) combo of road bike and commuter bike. After over 400 miles, I can’t say enough good things about this bike.

BOTTOM LINE :
Yes, This my best bike.
