2013 Bianchi Sempre Pro Ultegra Road Bike Review

2013 Bianchi Sempre Pro Ultegra Road Bike Review – review by admin on ★★★★☆ 4.3

The name Sempre is Italian for continuously, and Bianchi Sempre designers claim that the Sempre could be a bike that mixes the simplest characteristics of their skilled sport level Oltre and sportive-focused Infinito. In theory this could build a motorcycle which will be used ‘all-ways’. we tend to were massive fans of the first Sempre because it combined supple smoothness with remarkably direct handling.

The new Sempre Pro was designed for the competitive rider who wants to train hard, excel on fast tempo group rides, and dominate the local racing circuit.

The Sempre Pro incorporates Bianchi’s Nanotech carbon and Ultra Thin Seat Stays to provide a frame that is both rigid and light.  The BB30 technology and chain stay design ensure that rider power will be optimally transferred to the pavement.  Bianchi’s race-proven geometry provides a balanced ride for rapid acceleration, quick ascents, stable descents, and precise cornering.

The Sempre Pro now features a tapered head tube, a stiffer, aero-shaped down tube, and internal cable routing that accommodates both mechanical and electronic drivetrains.  All versions feature the same frame, fork, headset, and carbon formulation employed by our professional racing teams.

Sempre literally means always.  The Sempre Pro is always ready to excite you!

Ride & handling :

The frame improvements (see below) have created a bike that’s very taught up front; the handling is direct and instant – turn into a high speed corner and the Sempre is absolutely planted. The fork resists chatter and flex and makes for a great match to the Sempre’s smooth-running rear. Bianchi have, though, created a bike we’d be happy to use on the longest of rides. The Sempre Pro improves on what was already a great bike.

Frame and Equipment :

The down tube has grown in diameter to improve the frames rigidity between the front and rear. The seatstays of the Sempre frame look spindly slim compared to the frame’s oversized head tube and down tube. Bianchi call this their UTSS (Ultra-Thin-Seat-Stay) technology. The Sempre Pro combines Campag’s solid performing 10-speed Veloce with an aluminium FSA Gossamer chainset. The colour-coordinated custom graphic Reparto Corsa brakes are actually FSA’s Gossamer units underneath the glossy finish. The deeply padded angular shaped San Marco Ponza saddle is plenty comfortable and its narrow rear section flows into a relatively wide, but heavily padded nose. It sits on top of a nicely finished Reparto Corsa (FSA) post.
