GT Zaskar 9R Elite

The GT Zaskar 9R Elite 2013 Mountain Bike is a durable and reliable X/C bike. It features GT’s latest Speed Metal alloy Hydroformed Triple Triangle frame that is both strong and lightweight. Rock Shox Recon Gold air forks with tapered steerer, Shimano SLX Chainset and Formula RX Hydraulic Disc brakes,

Ride and Handling
the steep head angle, long back finish and an inline seatpost – that effectively steepens the seat angle – mix to firmly push your weight forward relative to firmly the bike’s natural centre of gravity. the forward weighting too stops the front finish lifting on climbs.
there’s lots of frame stiffness to firmly reward a firm press upon the pedals, and also the fork lockout is handy if a fight kicks off on swish surfaces.
that forward weight placement makes acquiring the front wheel over the ground to firmly avoid such impacts plenty tougher too, and also the zaskar is really a wheels-on-the-ground rather than just hop-and-pop player at heart.
gt’s zaskar delivers a decent ride with a specific penchant for steep power climbs and tighter trails, however the forward-weighted handling and qr fork mean descent and sketchy-trail confidence is earned rather than just gifted.

Frame and Equipment
the speed metal frame starts by having tapered head tube and spreads back with an unflashily hydroformed down tube and diamond section high tube. the rear brake mount will be the latest post-mount type.
the relatively long chainstays are curved to firmly enable decent mudroom along the low-profile treads, and permit a straight seat tube ( short chainstays and 29in wheels usually demand curved seat tubes ).

User Review :

I bought this bike to enter the Forests of Italy, from the very first moment that its tires touched to the mud.I started to love it, mud looks really good on it!

Great on uphills since it is not very heavy, uphill ascents are actually what i like to do most of the time but it has also tremendous performance during down the hill, control is great, turns are nice.

I can also feel the invesments made by company on design. Colors and little details with chosen components on it,makes it even better!

Already made about 500km in a month and no problems so far!
