The New Giant TCX Advanced SL has short seat stays that join the seat tube about a hand’s width below the top tube and is one of the few ’cross bikes still sporting a seatmast. Giant cycling,  The Rabobank racer rides a size small frame. New Giant Cycling  TCX  was developed with one goal: to win. It has earned rainbow stripes, national titles and bragging rights in all kinds of conditions. TCX  Advanced SL-grade composite frame is built with cyclocross-specific geometry, including a high top tube for easier shouldering and plenty of clearance for larger tires and muddy conditions. The integrated seatpost reduces weight and gives it a smooth, compliant ride quality. Giant’s OverDrive steerer tube technology delivers precision steering, and the MegaDrive downtube and toptube produce sharp handling and efficiency.

Unbeatable Vos Wins 6th Cx World Title

Over the last year, Rabobank-Liv/giant rider Marianne Vos has accomplished every major goal that she put on her list. With two world titles and an Olympic gold medal, 2012 was a landmark year for the 25-year-old. And now, with a win at Saturday’s Cyclocross World Championships in Louisville, Kentucky, Vos has extended her dominance from 2012 into 2013.

Vos lined up in the cold, wet and snowy conditions of Louisville as the heavy favorite to win on her Giant TCX Advanced SL. She already had five cyclocross rainbow jerseys and was aiming for number six.

Vos spent the opening lap testing the course conditions, which she said had changed since her training laps.

“A world championship is always very special,” Vos said after her win. Of course, if you already won it five times, they think you can win it for the sixth time.”

In the end, American Katie Compton finished second for silver, Chainel-Lefevre took bronze, and Van Paassen finished fifth.

WeightHow much does this bike weigh? It’s a common question, and rightly so. But the truth is, there are no industry standards for claiming bike weights—and this leads to a lot of misinformation. Variances exist based on size, frame material, finish and hardware. And as bikes get lighter, these differences become more critical. At Giant, we believe the only way to truly know the weight of any particular bike is to find out for yourself at your local retailer.
